We’ve just returned from the most amazing little vacation in Costa Rica! Jeff and I haven’t been on a trip like that since our honeymoon, so when we got the invitation to go down there to visit our friends Gordon & Shirley and photograph their wedding, we couldn’t have been more excited!
Arriving in Jaco, it was the beginning of the rainy season. Thankfully it wasn’t too hot, and the rain wasn’t cold. We had the best time hanging out with them and getting to know their family! Everyone was so wonderful and nice to us that we left with heavy hearts wondering when we would get to see them all again.
After spending a week going on ATV tours through the rain forest, petting crocodiles, adventuring through the jungle, laying on the beach, and zip lining through the canopy – it was time for the wedding (the only day it didn’t rain).
Shirley looked beautiful, “like a princess”, according to her daughter. After a sweet ceremony on the beach at the gorgeous Los Suenos Resort, we were able to snap a few portraits of them on our way up to the reception. Overlooking the entire marina and backing to the rainforest, their circle of family and friends came together to make the reception special for the couple. The food was amazing and we even had a family of monkeys visit in the evening!
